DESTINY STEPPED IN (Apr 26, 2009)

Destiny stepped in as a sideman during the recording sessions of the new Skreppers album 5 months ago, when drummer Salvador Salsa slipped and slided on the slippery pathway on his hacienda on the Isle of Capri. The result of that November rain was that Salvador broke his leg in three places and understandably also the recording sessions had to be delayed.

Fortunately Salsa is now back in full form and the rescheduled sessions started last week in Salsa’s studio in Porvoo. The new recording will include 12 fast and superfast tracks, and at the moment the plan is to release the album as a vinyl LP and downloadable version in the fall ’09.

The title of the album is already decided but we won’t reveal that intriguing piece of information just yet. After all we have to have some news items for next week also, you can’t break a leg every week, can you?

THE CRAMPS - LUX INTERIOR R.I.P. (Feb 5, 2009)

Lux has been an inspiration and influence to millions of artists and fans around the world. He and wife Poison Ivy's contributions with The Cramps have had an immeasurable impact on modern music.

The Cramps emerged from the original New York punk scene of CBGB and Max's Kansas City, with a singular sound and iconography.
