BIOGRAPHY

The Skreppers are a truly unique rock'n'roll act. The band combines the aggressiveness of punk and the straight forward drive of rockabilly with warped garage sounds. The result can be called kind of Trash Rock. Their songs are filled with strange creatures and trashy images from a mythical rock'n'roll world – and sometimes outer space.

The Skreppers came together in the mid-90's when the members
became bored with their more politically correct band endeavours. The
band built a cult following with energetic and sometimes chaotic live
shows in the end of the nineties. Leather, high heels, general sleaze –
whatever it takes to make a good show, the Skreppers took it to the stage.

When their line-up had settled by the turn of the century, the band was
ready to start its recording career. A self-published LP "Splish, Splash! Every Night?" came out in 1999, and after a deal with the Swedish
Low Impact records they followed with "Hedonist Hellcats" in 2002.
In 2004, Udai Records - a new record label for kinky looking and sounding bands- published the bands third album "Call of the Trash" in August.

The Skreppers have performed in Finland, Sweden and recently also
continental Europe. Sometimes supporting Finland's international love
metal heroes HIM (the singer Special K is renowned for his production
work for HIM, The 69 Eyes, Moonspell, Sentenced), the band continues
to heed the call of the trash and preach their message of goddamned
rock'n'roll to an ever-growing population of Skreppolytes all over the world.
